Wafer..What is it actually??

    Someone ask me about wafer ..and about my job ...she keep asking what is it? its a lot to explain. wafer is a platform or a base to produce chip. All the circuit will be printed on the wafer .Printed means application of sputtering and a few more type of layers which is done over different type and condition, For a start let me show a little bit of wafer and where it came from....first point wafer made from bare silicon..from sand ( special sand ).

Sand----ingot( Hi temp)----cut into pieces---polished ( bare wafers)
